The First Burn: A Crucial First Step

The first time you light your candle is the most important, as a proper initial burn will extend its life.

• Burn Until the Entire Surface Melts: For the very first burn, it is essential to let the candle burn for at least 1-2 hours, or until the entire surface has melted into an even pool of wax. This prevents "tunneling" and ensures an even burn for future use, avoiding wasted wax along the sides.
• Avoid a Short First Burn: If the first burn is too short, a "memory ring" will form, causing the candle to only burn in a small radius around the wick from then on.

Daily Use Tutorial

1. Trim the Wick: Before each use, be sure to trim the wick to about 0.5 cm (¼ inch). A wick that is too long can cause a large flame, produce black smoke, or lead to uneven burning. A wick that is too short may result in a flame that is too small or extinguishes itself.
2. Choose a Suitable Location:Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.Keep it away from any flammable objects such as curtains, books, or paper.Ensure it is placed out of reach of children and pets.Avoid placing it in drafty areas, like near open windows, air conditioners, or fans, as this can cause the flame to flicker, leading to an uneven burn or black smoke.
3. Lighting and Burning:It is recommended to use a long lighter or match to light the candle, especially when the wax has burned down halfway, for safer and easier access.The recommended burning time for each session is between 2 to 4 hours. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time to prevent the container from overheating.
4. Extinguishing the Candle:Do Not Blow It Out: Blowing out the candle can produce black smoke and a burnt smell, which will interfere with the room's fragrance. It may also splash hot wax.
   Use a Proper Tool: It is best to use a candle snuffer or the candle’s original lid to extinguish the flame. This cuts off the oxygen supply, allowing the flame to go out naturally and safely without producing smoke.

• Maintain Ventilation: Always use scented candles in a well-ventilated room to ensure proper air circulation.
• Never Leave Unattended: A burning candle should always be within sight. Never leave it unattended or burn it while you are sleeping.
• Storage: When not in use, cover the candle with its lid and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the fragrance from evaporating and the wax from discoloring.
• Melted Wax: There is no need to pour out the melted wax. Allow it to cool and solidify naturally for the next use.
• Special Considerations: Pregnant women, nursing mothers, and individuals with fragrance sensitivities should use caution or consult a physician before using scented products.
• When the Candle is Nearly Finished: When about 2 cm (¾ inch) of wax remains, it is recommended to burn it for the last time in one session. Otherwise, the wick may become too short to light again.
